The first National Association of Decorative & Fine Arts (NADFAS) was started in 1965 by our founder Patricia Fay. In 1968 the national organization was formed, becoming a charity in 1972. Some 40 years later our core aims remain the same – arts education and heritage conservation.
NADFAS now has more than 90,000 members
- Over 340 societies in the UK
- 10 in Europe and 5 in New Zealand
- The Australian Association of ADFAS has more than 30 societies

NADFAS in Spain
Interest in the fine arts has a huge following among expatriates in southern Spain. This interest has led to the creation of societies in Fuengirola, Nerja, San Roque and Gibraltar.
The Benahavis Decorative & Fine Arts Society (BDFAS) has been established to serve the Marbella to Estepona catchment area.

What will BDFAS offer
A programme of 8 lectures from October – May encompassing a broad range of topics which include:
* Old Masters * Sculpture * Silverwork
* Ceramics * Textiles * Architecture
* Furniture design * Jewellery * Music
There are more than 300 accredited NADFAS lecturers delivering high-quality, entertaining and informative lectures.
In addition, there will be visits to museums, galleries, concerts and the ballet.
